IT rEcycling is an original idea of the EESTEC Lugano, inspired mostly by newly raised problems but also new opportunities which modern world provides.
The market requirements and technical development make the life cycle beneficial phase of modern technical devices less and less. Meanwhile the time to market is shortening which leaves very good ambience for transfer of obsolete technologies.
Project viability
The survey-research carried out at USI has shown that more than a quarter of students suffer from the lack of funds dedicated to the needed computer hardware renewal. In the most of the cases the technical equipment that does not satisfy anymore the rapidly growing requirements of industrial and scientific environment can be adopted to the common needs of educational system. In the era when the problem of the storing and recycling of unused electrical devices, appears to be an important concern we come up with the new idea for resolving of this problem in the more efficient way.
